Workers World Media Productions celebrates its
10th Anniversary this year.
11 - 15 May 2009 - Community House in Salt River, where the organisations' head office is located - was buzzing with excitement. Project partners from African countries viz. Nigeria, Lesotho, Ghana, Malawi, Kenya, Swaziland, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Uganda and Tanzania; all 9 provinces in South Africa and youth members from 6 communities in the Western Cape of SA, came to together to celebrate with WWMP staff.
Participants of the Africa Labour Radio project and the Labour Community Radio Project enjoyed a 3day programme of Labour Radio training. Some were involved in a Beginners course whilst others were touching up their skills in the Advanced training course.
On evenings of the 13 & 14th May 2009 - WWMP hosted its 4th Annual Labour Film Festival. The focus this year was International Solidarity and Xenophobia. Click here to see which films were showcased. |
